Banks, Cashpoints, Post Office

Ryde is 10 minutes away in the car and here you will find several cashpoints and several high street banks. The nearest post office is situated inside Seaview Pharmacy, Pier Road PO34 5BL – you can also withdraw cash from all major bank accounts here.


Pharmacy 

Seaview Pharmacy (Pier Road PO34 5BL) is well stocked and the Prescribing Pharmacist is available to consult on every day medical problems. The pharmacy is a 10 minute walk away from Gull House – there is also on road parking and a car park adjacent to the building. 

The Tesco Superstore at Ryde also has an in store pharmacy.

Local Shops and Supermarkets

Nisa, Nettlestone Green PO34 5DX is a small but well stocked convenience store. The Community Store in Seaview PO34 5ES is also great with fresh breads and pastries available daily as well as locally produced dairy and meat products.

If you prefer online shopping, both Tesco and Waitrose deliver to Gull House. We suggest that you include the following directions to ensure straightforward delivery: there are no house numbers on Gully Road – ‘Gull House is one of two identical red brick townhouses halfway down Gully Road’.

The largest supermarket on the Island is Tesco, Ryde (Brading Road, Ryde PO33 1QS) and they also stock larger, seasonal items. Waitrose and a Marks and Spencer Food Hall can be found in Cowes.


Bembridge Village

Bembridge is a bustling village just 10 minutes away in the car. You will find plenty of independent shops here and its well worth a browse.

Butcher

Woodford and Sons are situated in the Village at 26 High Street (01983 507 019). They sell readymade pies and cooked meats as well as fresh local meat.

Green Grocer

The Farm Shop, 8 High Street (01982 874 236). Stocking fresh local produce as well as deli goods.

Fishmonger

Captain Stans, 5 High Street, Bembridge, Isle of Wight PO35 5SD (01983 875 572)

Selling fish and shellfish caught daily by their own boat in local waters supplemented by fish caught by Cornish dayboats. You can also purchase cooked Bembridge Ledge crab  and lobster here. 

Bakery

Hotbox (33 High Street, Bembridge) serve a selection of pastries, cakes and breads all made on site. Items can be eaten in with a lovely courtyard garden to the back of the store.

Farm Shops

You’ll see signs advertising fresh produce dotted along the roadside as you drive around the Island but if you want a one stop shop, Harvey Browns (Hale Common, Newport PO30 3AR T 01983 527530) is a 15 minute drive away and is home to a butcher, cheese counter, green grocer, an impressive deli selection and even frozen meals. There is also a lovely cafe on site.
